Everyone watched, prayed and listened..We all waited for the trumpets to sound and the graves to open. Every family wondering if Harold Camping was right and if the rapture was about to happen. Well, Harold was wrong!
Reuters reported that the curtains were drawn in Camping’s house in San Francisco on May 21, and nobody was answering the door. As a matter of fact, he is being called a “False Prophet”.
Other signs of the end of the world:
- Nation rising against nation
- False Prophets
2 Peter 2:1-3
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
(2 Timothy 3:1)
There are many reasons to worry about the end of the world, especially since everything is coming to pass. Earthquakes are occurring in all parts of the globe. The magnitudes of these earthquakes are destroying cities and killing 1000’s of people.
Floods are taking over many Southern states. Homes are sinking and people are dying. Tornadoes ripping apart homes and businesses, leaving even more people homeless and hungry.
Famine and disease are rising with these catastrophes. Bodies laying out rotting and fading away while families are starving begging for their homes and their memories.
Wars are breaking out all over the Middle East. Our soldiers are scattered everywhere, more dying each day from suicide bombers and raids.
This does not sound like a good time to be in. It sounds like the prophecies of the Lord ARE coming to pass. Be on your guard, pray each day and make peace with the ones you love. No one knows when the end is coming, no one knows the day or the time, but it will come-whether through a rapture or just laying in our beds. The moral of the story is to love your family, try each day to do something nice for someone (even an enemy) and pray that the Lord keeps us all safe and takes us with him to Heaven when it’s our time.
